Freight spend across ocean, road, air, rail and drayage

Benchmark freight costs, audit invoices, and cut shipping spend.

CostScanner is being built in the open. It is not live yet: no rate source is connected, so there is no benchmark to read and no invoice it can audit.

Accounts are not open yet. There is nothing to sign up for, and no card to enter.

Where this stands today

Pre-launch. The list below is everything that exists; there is no hidden inventory behind it.

  • Brand, theme and accent ramp
  • Application shell and sign-in screens
  • Build, type-check and test gates green in CI

Per-service detail, including what is not monitored, is on the status page.

What CostScanner is being built to do

Freight spend is hard to judge because the comparison never exists in one place. These are the four tools that would put it there.

Spend Benchmark

Planned

Where a lane rate sits against the distribution for the same lane, mode and volume — median and quartiles, never a single number dressed up as market price.

Invoice Auditor

Planned

Compare a received invoice against the contract and the benchmark, and list the lines that diverge.

Rate Comparator

Planned

One lane, priced across every mode a shipment could take, from the sibling scanners that quote them.

Savings Estimator

Planned

What a change of mode, carrier or consolidation would have cost on the shipments you already ran.

How it will get its numbers

CostScanner has no rates of its own

It reads the mode specialists over a frozen /api/v1 contract and normalises what comes back. When a source is unavailable the product will show a partial result and name the gap — never a silent hole, and never an invented row.

Built in the open, claim by claim

A cost tool that rounds its own results up is worth nothing. When there is a saving to report, it will come from an aggregation run and carry its sample size.
